Since Delphine came along our time alone has been very limited. Much as we love being with Delphine, when the grandparents offered to look after her for a day we jumped at the chance and what better chance to test the New SEAT Altea XL.
Just getting out these days involves a lot of extra stuff in the car and we were extremely thankful for the extra boot space. Having blown the cobwebs off the boat we decided to head to the beach and get out on the water. Obviously its summer so we packed the water proofs and loaded up the car, putting the boat in the back meant that the sliding rear seats were invaluable.
Driving through the country lanes round North Devon I noticed the ease with which the SEAL Altea XL handled the corners. Again the British summer meant that I got to use the automatic windscreen wipers as well as needing to have the lights on for most of the day.
We made full use of the iPod player and played our own music at full volume just like we used to! But more importantly the Bluetooth for the phone meant that we were in constant contact with the Grandparents to calm Carla’s nerves about leaving Delphine all day.
We had a great day and enjoyed the space and comfort of the Altea. The only disappointing part of the day was getting home to find that Delphine had had a great day as well and not even noticed we were gone.
